"I have always been interested in Martial Arts ever since I was young when my mother and uncle use to give me some lessons to handle some school bullies.  So when I found out that Mokyi was starting a Lion Dance troupe, I decided to join because I thought that was a great way to continue some of my training and learn how to Lion Dance; which is something I have always wanted to get into ever since I watched the classic Wong Fei Hung movies.hehe.  But even though our style of Lion Dance (Hok San) doesn't incorporate a lot of hardcore Martial Art, I prefer this style over Fok San because Hok San incorporates a lot more tricks and stunts.  I personally think that's more impressive.

Personally I think Lion Dance has had a great impact on my life.  For one it has kept me in decent health and shape due to all of the crazy training we do weekly.  Second it gave me a great chance to get in touch with my Chinese culture by allow to learn this beautiful art.  And thirdly, Lion Dance allowed me to meet and get to know a lot of great people.especially the people in my troupe.  GO EAST RISING!!!  ROOOOOAR!!!"
