“Mok-yi and I went to UMBC together and he originally asked me to join ER when it was established 2003.   I couldn't at the time because I was so busy with school.  But this gave me the chance to watch as an audience member to see how much fun everyone is having.  Now that I have graduated, I am able to be a part of this amazing group.  During my last year at UMBC, studying computer animation, I decided to move towards a different direction away from the computer and get into puppetry.  I came to the conclusion that I need to work with more hands-on, tactile and tangible projects.  Puppetry is best of both worlds combining animation with the performing arts.

We are bringing our lions to life and sharing it with our community. Performing for kids is the best because they get so excited when they see the lions.  I enjoy doing all of the stunts, which require a lot of trust in your partner.  I love being challenged with something new to learn and then executing it for a performance.  Lion dancing with ER is giving me great experience that I can eventually carry on with me into the professional world.”
